Welcome to Pick Of The Litter - Animal Rescue🐾💕
We are a 501(c)3 Volunteer-based Non-profit organization, dedicated to rescuing homeless, abandoned, neglected, and often abused animals and finding them New forever Homes once healthy & fully vetted. The day they are rescued by us, they get their second chance at a happy healthy life as they deserve. We are The voice 4 the Voiceless!
Why We Do What We Do
Every year, thousands of cat's/Dog's end up in Animal shelters, pounds, or on the streets dead here in Southern West Virginia. Some are brought into the shelters as strays, and others are abandoned by the very ones they trusted to protect and love them. Without RESCUES & FOSTERS, so many of these animals are euthanized.
We Support "No Kill" Only!🐾
One girls passion & dreams is what started this rescue mission in hopes of saving as many little lives as we possibly can, educate, and spread awareness about spay/neutering, and the importance of it. We hope with hard work and dedication we will in the near future see a decrease in the over population of cats/dogs and lower the number of animals in our shelters & on our streets. Our Rescue also strives daily to put an end to animal Abuse.

Pick of The Litter Animal Rescue is funded 100% by your generous donations! These donations help save many lives! Your gift allows us to continue rescuing these animals and spreading awareness and educating about spay/neutering. Foster homes play a vital role in keeping animals safe and secure, while a rescue or adoption arrangements are made. Please fill out applications below!
"Pick of The Litter" does provide all vetting, food, supplies that's needed for foster animals and can request crates as needed.

ARTHUR, a 10-year old senior Shih Tzu, we saved from Ohio that was not far from death when we saved him back in September. He's truly the sweetest lil' guy ever. He is so very grateful for our help and he's sure to express his love for us daily! 🐾💕

"Lilly" was almost LIFELESS literally on August 2, 2021 when we received the call about her with an emergency plea for help!
We drove an hour and a half to find this 6-month old, 12-pound Boxer/Mix pup, in a crate where she had lived most her life! (Whom should have at least weighed 30-38 lbs per the vet's professional opinion). She was so emaciated she could not stand up on her own and was struggling with a slew of medical issues! With a lot of love, dedication, prayers, a wonderful medical team, and an amazing village of supporters, this little girl fought for her life and is now adopted - living as a PRINCESS in her very own castle with a momma and poppa that ADORES her!

Me and my family and some co workers have adopted from Pick of the Litter one mommy dog and 3 of her babies and a kitten, all of the babies were very well cared for plus cats were litter trained and puppies were puppy pad trained which it made it easier when they went to their new homes.
